Job Title: Senior Property Accountant
Location: Fremont, CA (Hybrid - Two Days Onsite)
Pay: $90,000 - $105,000 per year

About the Role:

W This is a direct hire opportunity with a flexible hybrid schedule, requiring two days per week onsite. The ideal candidate will bring strong property accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and proficiency with Yardi software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of properties.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.

  • Process journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.

  • Collaborate with property managers and senior leadership on financial performance and budgeting.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and industry regulations.

  • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation.

  • Utilize Yardi software for daily accounting operations and reporting.

  • Leverage advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in property accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior-level role.

  • Proficiency in Yardi software (required).

  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas (required).

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and real estate/property management accounting principles.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
